Pearl will enable you to keep a track of delegated tasks, appointments, events and holidays using the calendar. The calendar can also show invoices due to pay, invoices due to receive and upcoming deliveries. The different types of event (event groups) are colour coded. You can add more event groups at Setup->Event groups. You can also choose who is able to see these events in their calendar.
Demo:
- Click Home->Calendar from the main menu to see the calendar. You can choose to view the day, week or month.
- Click on a day in the past to schedule a task/event and enter some information on the task/event.
- Choose the event group from the drop down "calendar" menu. Click 'open full event editor' to set the task for another member of staff (but dont do that just yet) and/or to set email or SMS reminders. Save the task
- Go Home-> My Tasks and you will see that the task is now overdue. Select the task and change the status to "complete" at the top of the screen. Click "update selected".
To edit/add new event statuses go to Setup->Event Statuses. Emails will be sent to task owners keeping them notified of changes, and the creator of the task will be notified when the task is completed.
You can also create tasks from Home-> New Task or Home-> New Event.
To link a task or event to a contact, search for the contact first, then hover over the contact menu and click "schedule call" or "schedule task".
Go back to the calendar (Home->Calendar), find the date on which you set the follow-up call earlier on (when working through the 'Contacts and CRM' section of this guide). You'll see a task has been created for the follow-up. To choose which events you can see, tick/untick the event groups on the bottom right of the page. You can also create events by clicking directly on the appropriate event group.
