All your product and page information is created using the web based Pearl admin area, and is stored in a database. When a visitor views your website, the information is retrieved from the database and displayed using the templates you have defined.

You can run your Pearl administration and webshop as a sub domain of the Pearl website if required (eg http://yourcompany.thisispearl.com) but we recommend that you purchase your own domain name.

Since the Pearl system will only run from the Pearl servers you will need to edit the DNS information of any existing domain name so that it points to the Rackspace DNS host that we work with.

This means that our servers will handle all your email needs as well as your website and back office administration.

All clients using Pearl will be given access to their email inbox using a web based system if required. For example; http://webmail.yourcompanyname.com

For extra MySQL databases, php scripting, bespoke modules and so on, please get in touch with us for a quote.

You are able to access your emails using standard POP3/SMTP methods. Our servers require SMTP authorisation, please read the help topics in the Pearl admin area for more information.

There is no current limit to the amount of web pages or products you can store in your Pearl account. A limit of 5Gb transfer per month per website is allowed with the regular subscription fee. Further bandwidth usage will be charged at the current rate (please see our website for details)
